Coral Springs Charter Girls Volleyball. {Matt Rothman}
The Coral Springs Charter girls volleyball team put together a strong run in the Big 8 Tournament, winning its first two matches to advance to the championship.
The Panthers knocked off Chaminade-Madonna College Preparatory School 23-25, 25-13, 15-13 in their opening match before advancing to the final following a 25-13, 23-25, 25-4 win in the semifinals against Cypress Bay High School before losing in the final against St. Thomas Aquinas High School 25-12, 25-9.
Coral Springs Charter will return home for a rematch against Chaminade-Madonna on Tuesday, October 6, at 6 p.m.
