There won’t be any excuse not to get outside and do your online work, because by the end of May, you’ll be able to stay connected while enjoying a day out at many of our city parks.
Residents will be able to connect with their smartphones, laptops, or tablets and enjoy free Wi-Fi at the following parks: the Sportsplex, the Aquatic Complex and Tennis Center, Mullins Park, Betti Stradling Park, Sartory Hall, North Community Park, and Cypress Park.
I am looking forward to seeing more people enjoy our parks. I can picture employees from nearby companies using the free Wi-Fi on their lunch breaks or Mom and Dad enjoying a cup of coffee in the shade while connecting with their kids away at college” – Mayor Vince Boccard
When users log onto the service from their tablets or laptops, they will first see language that includes a legal disclaimer with the city’s acceptable use policy. There will be filters in place to block questionable websites (Hopefully Coral Springs Talk isn’t one of those) , as well as monitoring connections to track access and/or abuse.
This free service will be available in the major parks as a permanent offering. In addition, the City will also offer this free service in most of the City buildings where the public congregates.
