Two burglary suspects were caught in the act when Coral Springs Police Department and Broward Sheriff’s Office conducted a joint operation to catch them in the act of committing crimes.
On May 14, members of the Coral Springs Police Department Burglary Enforcement and Reduction Unit “BEAR,” Strategic Enforcement Team “SET,” and Broward Sheriff’s Office Burglary Apprehension Team “BAT,” partnered up to catch two burglary suspects in the act.
Clinton Walker, 27, of Oakland Park, and Curtis Lee King, 32, of Sunrise were arrested when officers witnessed the suspects commit a residential burglary at the 5900 block of Rock Island Road in North Lauderdale.
Working off of criminal intelligence received by Coral Springs detectives, officers followed the suspects into the city of North Lauderdale where they conducted surveillance on them. Officers then witnessed the suspects commit an in-progress residential burglary. Detectives were able to recover $4,900 in stolen property and return it to the victim.
Walker and Curtis were taken to Broward County Jail.
This is the second joint operation in the last month leading to the arrest of multiple suspects committing burglaries throughout Broward County.
