Madisyn Bagot loves to help others.

As president of the Coral Springs Charter School Interact Club, she has many opportunities to make a positive difference at her school and encourage others. A senior with a 4.1 grade point average, she has been a member since the sixth grade.

On weekends, she usually volunteers at Saving Sage Animal Rescue, where she works with kittens. She has participated in many service events at school and in the community. She has volunteered with In Jacob’s Shoes, helping prepare shoes for distribution to people experiencing homelessness. Bagot has also participated in beach cleanups and looks for ways to make a positive difference at Charter.

“As the Interact president, I want to lead other students in the club to success. We have activities during our club meetings, such as public speaking and leadership training, to help members become more confident and gain skills that will help them succeed. We have about 30 members, and I would love to see more students join,” said Bagot.

Daniella Oliveira, who teaches Global Perspectives and is the Interact Club advisor, said she is proud of Bagot and that she is a good club president. “Bagot cares about the club members and is a positive leader. I believe she will continue to do well,” said Oliveira.

Currently, Oliveira and Bagot are working to encourage more people to join Interact and take part in service projects. Interact will begin working on a shoe drive for In Jacob’s Shoes. Over the past weekend, Interact hosted a Halloween event where students could visit three classrooms with horror movie themes.
