Work is set to begin on the City Village project in Coral Springs on the northwest corner of University and Sample Road.
Gisele Rahael of Amera Corporation gave a presentation on the status of the project at the Coral Springs Coconut Creek Regional Chamber of Commerce wake-up breakfast.
The western, or first, phase of the project covers four acres and includes 300 residential rental units, more than 20,000 square feet of commercial space for retail and restaurants, a parking garage, and a linear park. The goal is to begin work on the project by late 2026, according to Rahael.
The eastern phase of the project, which will come later, will cover over eight acres and will include at least 65,000 square feet of commercial space. There will be a main street running from Coral Hills Drive on the west to University Drive on the east, according to Rahael.
