The City of Coral Springs has launched its annual Back-to-School Supply Drive, encouraging residents to donate new school supplies to help local students prepare for a successful academic year.
The supply drive runs through Tuesday, August 5, with collection sites located at three city facilities: City Hall, the Coral Springs Center for the Arts, and the Panthers IceDen. Donations can be dropped off in the lobbies of each location during regular business hours.
The city is accepting a variety of new school supplies, including markers, crayons, colored pencils, pens, erasers, folders, composition books, binders, glue sticks, rulers, highlighters, index cards, Post-it notes, pencil pouches, loose-leaf paper, flash drives, tissues, hand soap, and Ziploc bags.
The city also encourages residents to take advantage of Florida’s Back-to-School Sales Tax Holiday, which runs from August 1 through August 31, to purchase and donate supplies without paying sales tax.
For more information or to get involved, residents may visit www.coralsprings.gov or email volunteer@coralsprings.gov.
