St. Andrew Catholic Church invites the community to its 21st Annual Ray Herman Thanksgiving Dinner, a tradition honoring the late Ray Herman, a dedicated parish member and one of the event’s original organizers.
The dinner takes place on Thanksgiving Day, November 28, 2024, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Parish Hall.
In addition to the in-person dining experience, takeout meals will be available for pickup during the event.
The Thanksgiving tradition began over 20 years ago when former Pastor Monsignor George Puthusseril proposed the idea to the St. Andrew Men’s Club. His vision was to create a space for those without plans or family gatherings for the holiday.
Ray Herman, who passed away in 2020, was a driving force behind this initiative. As director emeritus and a long-standing parish member, Herman helped turn the dinner into a beloved annual event embodying community and gratitude.
This year, St. Andrew Catholic Church seeks community support to ensure the event’s success. Volunteers are needed to donate desserts, prepare meals, and provide financial contributions to offset costs.
For more information about how to get involved or to support the event, visit St. Andrew Men’s Club’s website.
