Broward County residents can earn some extra cash while working at various election polls in Broward County.
As the 2024 election dates approach, the Supervisor of Elections office needs workers on the front lines.
To qualify, individuals must be registered voters in Broward County, submit an Election Day Workers Application, and attend at least 4 hours of training.
Various roles are available with corresponding compensation:
- Clerk – $350: Manages tasks, activities, and poll workers in the polling place.
- Assistant Clerk – $230: Assists and may substitute for the Clerk as needed.
- EPB Operator – $220: Confirms voter eligibility and issues voting passes.
- Ballot Inspector – $205: Collects passes and issues appropriate ballots.
- Voting System Technician (VST) – $325-$340: Provides technical support to voters.
- Backup VST – $275: Provides technical support on Election Day.
- Early Voting Pollworker – $12 – $18/hr: Performs tasks at early voting sites.
- Poll Deputy – $200: Maintains order outside polling places.
- Truck Drivers and Helpers – $175 – $200: Assists with equipment pick-up.
- Call Center Operator – $205: Responds to inquiries on Election Day.
- Warehouse Staff – $18/hr: Assists with election preparation.
