Caregivers at Broward Health Coral Springs celebrated Mother’s Day with a full-circle moment as Coconut Creek resident Angilee Jabar gave birth to her first child, baby Zakai, 23 years after she was born at the same hospital by the very same doctor.
Dr. Mitchell Feldman, the obstetrician-gynecologist who delivered Jabar more than two decades ago, made a special trip to the hospital to personally deliver her son despite not being scheduled to work that day.
According to Broward Health, Jabar experienced a healthy pregnancy supported by the hospital’s maternity care team. Although Feldman was not scheduled to work when she went into labor, he made a special trip to the hospital to personally deliver her baby, continuing a longstanding relationship with the family.
Jabar’s delivery was described as quick and seamless, allowing her to celebrate her first Mother’s Day with her healthy newborn son.
“As a new mom, this is the best feeling ever,” Jabar said. “Welcoming my son has been everything I hoped for and more.”
