Coral Glades Track and Field Makes Their Mark at BCAA Championship

Coral Glades showed their strength and their speed during the BCAA Championship on Friday at Coral Springs High School.
Nekalia Welt shined for the girls, placing second in the discus and eighth in the shot put. Camille Camper finished fifth in the javelin. Camper, Avellana Williams, Juliana Mathieu, and Kimberly Joseph came in 13th in the 4 x 100 relay. Chloe Martinez, Zariya Louis-Jeune, Gina Bido, and Emmie Guzman finished fourth in the 4 x 800 relay.
Isaiah Godfrey had the top result for the boys, placing sixth in the 100 meters. He was also part of the 4 x 100 relay team that previously broke a school record and came in sixth with Anthony Casseus, Christian Wallace, and Dominic Hemingway. Devin Roman, Madox Becks, and Devin Roman both placed seventh, while Godfrey came in eighth in the 200 meters. Jordan Blaise, Sebastian Coro, Fabio Castillo, and Kai Segui finished ninth in the 4 x 800 meters.
The boys' and girls' teams will continue to prepare for the postseason, including the District, Regional, and State Championships.
