Coral Glades continued their season competing at the District Championship at South Plantation High School on April 16.
The Jaguars had the boys place ninth overall, led by Isaiah Godfrey, who came in third in the 200 meters, while Jordan Blaise, Fabio Castillo, Sebastian Coro, and Kai Segui came in fourth in the 4 x 800 relay. Dominic Hemingway, Christian Wallace, Keith Raymonvil, and Isaiah Godfrey finished fifth in the 4×100 relay. Additionally, Wallace, Jordan Blaise, Aaron Hilaire, and Godfrey placed seventh in the 4×400.
Devin Roman and Madox Becks each placed fourth in their events, while Wallace also came in fifth in the 200 meters. Godfrey, Jordan Blaise, Joel Harrigan, and Winston Moise earned points. The girls team came in seventh, led by Nekalia Watt and Camille Camper. Watt came in second in the discus and Camper earned her runner-up finish in the javelin. Gina Bido, Chloe Martinez, Gianna Gonzalez, and Emmie Guzman led the relay teams, finishing fourth in the 4 x 800 relay.
Kimberly Joseph, Camille Camper, Alonna Harrison, and Juliana Mathieu came in sixth in the 4 x 100 relay. At the same time, Zariya Louis-Jeune, Angel Sanon, Olivia Chester, and Gianna De Belen finished eighth in the 4 x 800 relay. Watt also placed sixth in the shot put. Next, Coral Glades will get set for Regionals and potentially the State Championship next month.
