The Coral Springs Charter Cheerleading team put on an incredible performance Friday morning as they finished second in FHSAA State Championship Series out of 12 teams.
According to Coach Rachal Garris, the Panthers competed at RPF Funding Center in Lakeland and put on a routine that they should be very happy about.
“Our athletes went out there as a team and worked hard to give a performance we can look back on with pride,” said Garris. “In a season of uncertainty, our athletes handled themselves like champions.”
Last year, CSC finished in fifth place in States. With only two competitions due to COVID-19, this season won first place in the 2021 FHSAA Cheerleading Regionals at Coral Glades High School on January 16.
The Panthers have two seniors that are graduating this year in Chandler Gentille and Victoria Loffreda. While they will miss two excellent cheerleaders, Garris is extremely confident that her younger athletes can step up in 2021-22.
