The Coral Springs Charter wrestling team took fourth place at the district championship at Jupiter Christian on February 19.
“We have had a good season. Our wrestlers did well with five making it to the finals,” said coach Eric Perez.
Christopher Carbajal (106 pounds) placed second, Blake Eden (113 pounds) placed second, Jonathan McKenzie (132 pounds) placed third, Zayne Yawar (144 pounds) placed second, Elijah Perez (150 pounds) placed second, Logan Bosworth (157 pounds) placed second, Lukas Dagostinis (120 pounds) placed fourth, and Cash Conner (165 pounds) placed fourth.
Now the team is preparing for the regional championship to be held at Cardinal Gibbons on February 27 -28.
“I believe we can do well. Our team has practiced hard, and we are ready,” said Perez.
