Joseph Mullins is a top tennis player and student leader at Coral Springs High School.
The captain of the boys’ tennis team, Mullins, helps coach some of the team’s up-and-coming players. He also shows special-needs players how to play tennis.
“It takes dedication and a lot of practice time to become good at tennis. I enjoy coaching and helping my teammates improve,” said Mullins.
A high-achieving student, Mullins is dual-enrolled at Broward College and has a 5.2 grade point average. He is president of the National Honor Society and vice president of Health Occupations Students of America.
Sophia Rodriguez, a leader of the girls’ team, is looking forward to the season. “I am practicing and working on improving my game,” she said.
