
Coral Springs Charter Boys Tennis Team. {David Volz}
High School teams in Coral Springs have been all over the court during tennis season.
The Coral Springs Charter boys’ team is 3-7 this year and has won 28 matches this season. The team has a pair of victories over Archbishop Mcarthy and one against Westminster Academy. Their team comprises Nathan Mathew, Justin Humphrey, Krishna Mirpuri, Shivaan Patel, Arjun Suresh, Gautum Arun, Anton Sedyakin, Baylee Effendi, Santiago Garcia, and Tanish Thakar.
The Coral Springs Charter girls’ team has two team victories this season and 20 on the season following wins over two-win giants Boca Raton Community High School. Their team comprises Yahli Shinuk, Yuval Shinuk, Madeline Nobler, Brooke Clark, Melanie Hernadez, Minerva Ghantous, Paige Correa, Melissa Buber, and Brianna Matteazzi.
Next, both teams will face Pine Crest School in their next match on April 1. The boys’ team has a record of 7-1, while the girls’ record is 9-0.
The Coral Springs High School boys tennis team has competed in three team matches and won atleast two in a pair of them. The Colts lost 5-2 against Pompano Beach and Fort Lauderdale, with one victory against Marjory Stoneman Douglas. The Colts teams consist of Landon Park, Jonathan Killam, Shane Blank, Vlad Goryainov, Kai Van Pelt, Aaron Pinsky, Joseph Mullins, and Joshua Demetrius.
The girls’ team features Reia Lee, Teresa Xu, Nyla Clinton, and Sophia Rodriguez. Despite not winning any matches, the Lady Colts played Pompano Beach, Marjory Stoneman Douglas, and Fort Lauderdale High School.
Next, both face St. Thomas Aquinas High School on April 9 at 3:30 p.m. Both Raiders teams come in with records of 5-4 this season.
