The Coral Springs Police Department reported numerous crimes across the city between March 2 and March 8, 2026. Please note that the police have redacted the names and addresses of most victims in most incidents.
Incidents
• Armed Robbery: A victim was robbed at gunpoint on March 2 in Coral Springs. The victim reported a loss of approximately $69.
• Burglary with Assault: A burglary involving an assault or battery was reported on March 2 in Coral Springs.
• Fraud: A resident reported a fraud case totaling $118,000 involving activity between Sept. 24 and Dec. 15, 2025.
• Grand Theft: A theft valued at $29,836 was reported on Feb. 12 and reported to police on March 3.
• Grand Theft: A theft totaling $20,000 was reported March 7 in Coral Springs.
• Burglary to Residence (Forced Entry): A home burglary with forced entry occurred between March 5 and March 8 with an estimated loss of $1,650.
• Burglary from Vehicle: A burglary from a vehicle was reported between March 4 and March 5 with an estimated loss of $2,000.
• Retail Theft: A shoplifting incident at Walmart, 3801 Turtle Creek Drive, resulted in approximately $648 in stolen merchandise on March 4.
• Retail Theft: A shoplifting incident at Nordstrom Rack, 4631 North University Drive, resulted in approximately $329 in stolen merchandise on March 6.
• Retail Theft: A shoplifting incident at Publix, 2201 North University Drive, resulted in approximately $137 in stolen merchandise on March 7.
• Retail Theft: A theft at Chipotle, 4220 North State Road 7, resulted in approximately $38 in losses on March 2.
• Identity Theft: Several identity theft and fraud incidents were reported during the week, including one with losses exceeding $11,000.
• Stalking: A stalking incident was reported March 4 with an estimated loss of $500.
• Criminal Mischief: Damage between $200 and $1,000 was reported March 4 at 10000 NW 29th Street.
• Death Investigation: Police responded to two separate unattended death investigations, reported March 5 and March 8.
• Shooting Incident: A report of shooting into a building or vehicle was reported March 8 in Coral Springs.
• Domestic Battery: Multiple domestic battery incidents were reported throughout the week.
• Missing Persons: Police investigated reports of a missing endangered person and later recovered a missing individual.
• Animal Bite: An animal bite was reported March 6 at 37 NW 112th Terrace.
• Exposure Incident: An incident involving exposure of sexual organs was reported March 5.
• Injunction Violation: A violation of an injunction for protection was reported March 8.
• Baker Act Cases: Multiple Baker Act cases were reported during the week involving individuals taken for mental health evaluation.

• Afzal Ali Razak, 34, was arrested on a charge of robbery by sudden snatching with a firearm or weapon on March 2.
• Rene Brise, 20, was arrested on a capias warrant on March 2 at 5000 Coral Springs Drive.
• Derek Asher Alban, 45, was arrested for shoplifting/petit theft on March 2 at 4220 North State Road 7.
• Steven T. Bolden, 41, was arrested for criminal mischief ($200–$1,000 damage) on March 2 at 5720 Wiles Road.
• Silvana Karen Lopez Gonzalez, 36, was arrested for driving with a suspended habitual license on March 2 at 5800 Wiles Road.
• Stephen M. Porach, 32, was arrested for trespassing after warning on March 3 at 1300 Coral Springs Drive.
• Brian M. Singh, 55, was arrested for battery on March 3.
• Jorden David Bowles Francisco, 18, was arrested for domestic battery on March 3.
• Chad Austin Tavenier, 44, was arrested for possession of fentanyl on March 3 at 2700 Riverside Drive.
• Randle J. Overbey, 23, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia on March 4 at North University Drive and Wiles Road.
• Antoine E. Griffin, 39, was arrested for grand theft retail ($751–$5,000) on March 4 at 4400 North State Road 7.
• Estevao Dos Santos Neto, 39, was arrested on a capias warrant on March 5 at 1146 North University Drive.
• Michael Ceijai Remy, 23, was arrested on a capias warrant on March 5 at 8206 Wiles Road.
• Dinaida Sheppard, 69, was arrested for retail theft on March 6 at 4631 North University Drive.
• Tawana Shenique Shelton, 50, was arrested on a capias warrant on March 6 at 10514 West Sample Road.
• Nyla Kacinda Lewis, 21, was arrested for possession of cannabis (under 20 grams) on March 6 at Coral Ridge Drive and Sample Road.
• Cory Coel Drummond, 39, was arrested for retail theft ($100–$750) on March 6 at 1229 North University Drive.
• Charles Avis Darnell Cook, 26, was arrested for possession of cannabis (under 20 grams) on March 6 at Wiles Road and State Road 7.
• Anthony Marques Jones, 47, was arrested on a capias warrant on March 7 at 8804 NW 38th Drive.
• Anna Marie Silence, 46, was arrested for petit theft ($100–$750) on March 7 at 2201 North University Drive.
• Demetrius Anthony Meuse, 30, was arrested for domestic battery on March 7.
• Alan Bernard Hall, 29, was arrested on a capias warrant on March 8 at 8376 NW 16th Street.
• Michael Patrick Murray, 47, was arrested for violation of an injunction for protection on March 8.
