Coral Springs Crime Blotter: Police Investigate Vice Mayor’s Killing in Weekly Crime Report

The Coral Springs Police Department reported numerous crimes across the city between March 30 and April 5, 2026. Please note that the police have redacted the names and addresses of most victims in most incidents.
Incidents
Police responded to a wide range of incidents across the city, including thefts, fraud cases, burglaries, and a homicide investigation. Below is a summary of notable activity.
Homicide Investigation: Police reported a first-degree murder investigation involving Vice Mayor Nancy Metayer between March 31 and April 1.
Armed Robbery (Attempted): A suspect attempted an armed robbery near North University Drive late March 30 into March 31.
Grand Theft Auto: Multiple vehicle thefts were reported throughout the week, including incidents on March 31, April 1, and April 2.
Burglary with Assault: A burglary involving an assault was reported on April 4.
Retail Theft: Several shoplifting incidents occurred at local businesses, including Walmart, Target, and Kids Foot Locker, with losses ranging from about $49 to over $300.
Fraud Cases: Numerous fraud reports were filed, including identity theft, impersonation, and financial losses exceeding $8,000 in one case.
Criminal Mischief: Several incidents of property damage, including felony-level business damage exceeding $1,000, were reported on April 3.
Domestic Violence: Multiple domestic-related incidents were reported, including battery and injunction violations.
Narcotics Possession: At least two narcotics possession cases were reported.
Fleeing and Eluding Police: Two separate incidents involving suspects fleeing law enforcement were reported March 30 and March 31.
Child Pornography Case: Police reported a case involving possession of child pornography on April 1.
Elder Abuse: One case of elderly abuse was reported April 2.
Missing Endangered Person: Police investigated a missing endangered person on April 3.
Animal Bites: Two animal bite incidents were reported April 4 and April 5.
DUI: One DUI incident was reported April 4.
Baker Acts: Numerous Baker Act cases were reported throughout the week.
Arrests
Capias Arrest: Martin Reynolds, 66, arrested March 30.
Driving with Suspended License: Joshua Suluki, 32, arrested March 30.
Burglary (Unarmed, Occupied Dwelling): Joshua Corker, 31, arrested March 30.
Shoplifting/Petit Theft:
Sandree Spence, 40, arrested March 30
Avery Robbins, 18, arrested March 30
Brennan Molamphy, 18, arrested March 30
Criminal Mischief: Passion Pierre, 29, arrested March 31.
Child Abuse (Felony):
Joel Kohnert, 44, arrested March 31
Jennifer Kohnert, 45, arrested March 31
Cocaine Possession (Felony): Zachary Klein, 42, arrested March 31.
