Coral Springs Crime Blotter: Grand Theft, Fraud, and Violent Incidents Mark Weekly Report

The Coral Springs Police Department reported numerous crime incidents across the city between February 19 – February 23, including arrests and various charges.

Incidents

Burglary – Conveyance | Feb. 19, 5:36 a.m.

A vehicle burglary was reported with an estimated loss of $310.

Failure to Return Hired Vehicle | Feb. 19, 7:50 a.m. | 22 N University Dr.

A rental vehicle valued at $20,000 was not returned.

Fraud – Credit Card | Feb. 19, 11:17 a.m. | 5621 Riverside Dr.

Fraudulent use of a credit card resulted in losses exceeding $2.1 million.

Aggravated Assault | Feb. 19, 2:45 p.m.

A victim was assaulted; no further details provided.

Battery on a School Board Employee | Feb. 19, 12:55 p.m.

A school employee was assaulted by a suspect.

Death – Unattended | Feb. 19, 3:20 p.m. | 10 Cypress Run Cir.

Officers responded to an unattended death investigation.

Burglary – Business | Feb. 19, 7:23 p.m. | 1 NW 35th St.

A non-forced entry burglary at a business was reported.

Shoplifting – Retail Theft | Feb. 20, 2:17 p.m. | Macy’s, 9129 W Atlantic Blvd.

Merchandise valued at $95 was stolen.

Shoplifting – Retail Theft | Feb. 20, 8:52 p.m. | Walmart, 3801 Turtle Creek Dr.

A suspect stole $105 worth of items.

Identity Theft – Fraud | Feb. 20, 8:28 p.m.

A victim reported fraudulent use of their personal information.

Grand Theft | Feb. 21, 2:48 p.m. | Target, 4400 N State Rd 7.

Merchandise valued at $385 was stolen.

Armed Robbery | Feb. 22, 7:29 p.m.

A robbery involving a weapon resulted in a loss of $172.

Aggravated Battery | Feb. 22, 10:20 p.m. | 7931 NW 35th Ct.

A 64-year-old victim was assaulted and sustained injuries.

Sexual Cyberharassment | Feb. 23, 12:16 p.m.

A victim reported being harassed online with explicit content.

Retail Theft – Felony | Feb. 23, 2:34 p.m. | 23 N University Dr.

Merchandise valued at $35 was stolen.

Arrests

Feb. 19: William Phipps Phillips, 44, arrested for domestic battery.

Feb. 20: Nadia K. Reid, 48, arrested for shoplifting at Walmart.

Feb. 20: Joel E. Pizarro, 28, arrested for shoplifting at Macy’s.

Feb. 21: Tina Louise Kruse, 61, arrested for shoplifting at Target.

Feb. 21: Miguel E. Melendez, 58, arrested for obstructing an officer.

Feb. 22: Mackenzie Abraham, 45, arrested for trespassing after warning.

Feb. 22: Bepolane Cadeus, 19, arrested for aggravated domestic battery.

Feb. 23: James Auguste, 42, arrested for habitual driving with a suspended license.
