The Coral Springs High School boys basketball team is set to play for a Regional Championship following their 56-54 win against Boyd H. Anderson High School.
The Colts were previously knocked out of the District Championship by St. Thomas Aquinas High School but are set to play them in the Final. The Colts won 14 games during the regular season before knocking off Deerfield Beach and South Plantation High High in Districts.
CSHS qualified for Regionals and was seeded third. They played Southridge High School in the opening round, winning 80–72 behind 23 points from Alex Pierre-Louis. Jahmai Henry added 21, while both Tavern Neille and Joshua Pierre were each in double figures.
The Colts then faced seventh-seeded Boyd H. Anderson High School after the Cobras knocked out second-seeded Martin County High School in the first round. CSHS, though, pulled out a 56-54 win to set up the team’s third matchup this year with St. Thomas Aquinas High School.
During the regular season, the Raiders won 85-58 before a 72-59 victory in the playoffs. St. Thomas Aquinas comes in as the third-ranked team to win Florida and 29th nationally with their 27-2 record. The Raiders have beaten Dwyer and Miramar High School in Regionals and had their only losses this season come against St. Francis Academy and North Broward Prep. Tip-off is set for Thursday, February 20, at 7 p.m.
