The Motherhood Village celebrated its grand opening with a ribbon cutting hosted by the Coral Springs Coconut Creek Regional Chamber of Commerce on the afternoon of April 22.
Members of the Coral Springs Commission participated, and Mayor Scott Brook praised the new business and welcomed it to the neighborhood. “You have a beautiful place for families and children,” he said.
Nicole Gonzalez-Cumberbatch provided social events, workshops, and a podcast for mothers. She decided it was time to establish a permanent location and opened The Motherhood Village at The Walk at 2902 North University Drive.
“I wanted to create a space for mothers with multiage children, a place where they could bring their kids and relax, visit with other mothers, or even do some work,” said Cumberbatch.

After the ribbon-cutting, she gave a tour so visitors could see the gym where children can play, rooms for workshops, a café, and the STEM room. Children from young toddlers to kids aged 14 are welcome.
“In our STEM room, children will have an opportunity to learn practical skills like changing a tire,” said Cumberbatch.
The Motherhood Village will offer open play where children can play, explore, and connect in a fun space designed for infants to age 6. According to Cumberbatch, the STEM room will offer hands-on science, engineering, and math activities to encourage curiosity for kids six and older.
Families will be able to hold birthday parties and celebrations at The Village, and there will be camps when school is out. According to Cumberbatch, there is a café where mothers can enjoy coffee and snacks at a reasonable price while their children play.
