Take part in the Coral Springs Museum of Art’s annual summer art camps, featuring on-site art projects and instruction from June through August 2022.
Students ages 5 to 17 wanting to be a part of this summer’s Art camps should come with minds ready to “be creative and have fun,” said Jill Brown, museum director.
“This is the second year for all-day cultural camps and teen camps, and it will be a great time,” she said. “We are so glad to be able to offer an in-person experience and still be safe in our museum setting.”
Summer camp kicks off on June 13 and runs for two weeks, offering ART stART half-day morning camps for ages five and 6-year-olds where campers will get the opportunity to discover a variety of techniques and materials while having fun.
Teens ages 13-17 will have half-day intensive studios where they will focus on a particular media, for example, pottery, painting, drawing, etc.
Teens will work with teaching artists to refine their interests and skills and learn new tips and techniques. This is open to students of all skill levels and interests
Cultural Camps for ages 7-12 are all-day camps based on the following themes:
Session A: June 13- June 24 – no camp June 20

Session B: June 27- July 8 – no camp on July 4

Session C: July 11-July 22
Super Scandinavia: This camp is for you, whether you like castles and dragons or princesses and Vikings. From their woodcarving to intricate knotwork to depictions of fantastic animals, enjoy exploring the unique and iconic culture of the Scandinavians.
Session D: July 25 – August 5
Magnificent Mexico: Take a trip through time, from the ancient art of the Maya and Aztec to modern-day murals and mosaics. Explore Mexico’s vibrant parades, piñatas, and even talk tacos! Learn all about this rich culture and discover the marvels of Mexico.
Students in cultural camps will rotate to three different studios a day, pottery, painting, drawing, and mixed media. This allows the camps to have various experiences and try different things. At the end of the session, there will be a family art show for the kids.
