Five-year-old Duke is one of several adult dogs waiting at the Humane Society of Broward County to meet a new family.
The Lab-Mix came to the Humane Society from a rural shelter where people don’t often go to adopt, so he is hoping his luck will change.
Duke is a sweet fellow but is nervous here at the shelter with the other dogs barking. He enjoys going for walks and will need a patient, loving family who will give him some time to settle in. Is there someone with a big heart who will give this 79-pound fellow a forever home?
To meet Duke (ID 653783), fill out a pre-adoption application at www.humanebroward.com and stop by the shelter located at 2070 Griffin Road, Fort Lauderdale.
If you have any questions, call 954-989-3977 ext. 6. The adoption kennels open daily at 11 a.m. If you can’t adopt a pet permanently but would like to help adult dogs and cats find homes, volunteer to be an Adoption Ambassador, learn more on the website.
