Coral Springs Officers Help Resident Locate Porch Pirate Within 1 Day

A Ring doorbell camera captured an unknown suspect removing a box from the doorstep of an unoccupied residence on July 8.
The owner posted the information to social media and called Coral Springs Police to make a report of the incident.
Officer James Johnson and Officer Chris Moss acted quickly to make connections within the community, hoping to find the suspect and provide closure for this incident.
Within a day, Officer Johnson and Officer Moss received information on the suspect’s believed whereabouts and were able to contact the suspect using the information that was provided.
With the assistance and cooperation of family members, they were able to positively identify the suspect as the individual in the video.
