Holy Cross Health has announced Coral Springs resident Tracey Melhuish as the distinguished Colleague of the Year for 2023.
According to the hospital, Melhuish is a dedicated member of the Holy Cross team and has been instrumental in upholding the institution’s values and delivering exceptional care.
According to a statement from Holy Cross, Melhuish, MSN, RN, CCRN, has been with the hospital as both Sepsis Coordinator and Clinical Practice Specialist in critical care, and her unparalleled commitment to critical care, coupled with her role as a researcher and advocate for both patients and staff, has set a high standard within the organization.
Her colleagues describe her as conscientious, always eager to resolve conflicts, and handle difficult patient situations with utmost care and professionalism, according to Holy Cross Health.
Alongside her professional achievements, Tracey and her husband are deeply involved in the Coral Springs community.
Since moving to the Shadow Wood community in 2004, they have been active in local initiatives, mainly focusing on supporting children with special needs and partnering with the city for neighborhood upkeep.
Joseph DeMartino, Director of Radiology Services, is recognized as Director of the Year for his leadership and advocacy, and Hadil Farouk, Patient Access Manager, is honored as Leader of the Year for her impactful management skills.
