Two Coral Springs teens were recognized for their long-standing commitment to volunteerism during a local nonprofit’s annual gala earlier this month.
On March 6, twin brothers Archer and Broderick “Brody” Sullivan received the 2025 Wings of Hope Award from Voices for Children of Broward County for their service to the organization, which supports abused, neglected, and abandoned children navigating the dependency court system. The ceremony was held at the nonprofit’s annual gala.
The Sullivan brothers, both seniors at St. Thomas Aquinas High School, have volunteered with the organization since 2021. Voices for Children partners with the 17th Judicial Circuit Dependency Court Division to provide children with resources that address their health, educational, and social needs while they remain in foster or temporary care.
Chief Program Officer Lammy Askar acknowledged the brothers on stage, citing their hands-on involvement in organizing seasonal pop-up shops that allow Child Advocate Managers and Guardians ad Litem to collect toys, school supplies, and other items for the children in their care.
“Askar noted that their efforts extend beyond organizing donations, serving as a visible reminder to children in the program that they are not forgotten,” the organization said in a statement.
Together, the Sullivan brothers have logged over 1,150 student service hours, including other community projects in Coral Springs, such as the city’s annual holiday parade, road cleanup events, and summer work as student counselors at the Coral Springs Museum of Art.
The twins are set to graduate this May. Archer plans to attend the University of Central Florida to study Criminal Justice, while Brody will pursue a degree in Editing, Writing, and Media at Florida State University.
Voices for Children of Broward County aims to ensure that every child involved in the court dependency system has access to essential services and advocacy. More information can be found at www.voicesbroward.org.
