Delivery Dudes Owner and Coral Springs Resident Helps Feed Hungry Customers Amid Coronavirus

Just about everyone has seen the Delivery Dudes logo hanging around the cash register or stickered to the outside window of their favorite restaurants.

Since 2009, Delivery Dudes has set out to offer what they describe as “the best food delivery service experience on the planet.” This coincides with their mission statement that includes core values ranging from treating customers as if they were close friends, to making amends for any mistakes made during the delivery process.

For Delivery Dudes, convenience is the name of the game. It’s getting food directly to the customer’s door, so they spend more time enjoying themselves and less time in the car or waiting for takeout food.

Now, more than ever, Coral Springs and Parkland residents are looking for all those things. Delivery services are now slammed by an increasing amount of customers seeking a safe alternative to venturing out into the wild, themselves, for a bite to eat.

Everyone will play a role in returning our lives to normalcy, and Delivery Dudes wants to make sure your new normal is never having to spend time grabbing takeout from within a busy crowd ever again.

According to franchise owner Barry Rooks, Delivery Dudes is up to the challenge and then some.

Rooks — a longtime Florida resident, former Florida Atlantic University baseball player, and coach at Marjory Stoneman Douglas — is no stranger to the specific challenges and advantages of the North Broward area.

That’s to say; he’s one of us. He’s a local business owner with a stake in the community that goes beyond opportunities for profits.

Rooks recently told Coral Springs Talk more about how Delivery Dudes has been there for customers during the pandemic, and what precautions the company is taking to ensure the safety of both their drivers and the customers —something that is undoubtedly currently a paramount concern for those using his service.

“We are a local delivery company that takes great pride in providing top-notch customer service, and quality on-time deliveries for our customers,” Rooks said. “Throughout the coronavirus, our company as a whole has had to adapt and take steps to ensure the safest deliveries possible such as checking driver temperature before there shift, providing drivers with masks, and contact-free delivery.”

Even as Broward soon enters Phase 1 of reopening the economy, Delivery Dudes is encouraging customers to continue using their service now more than ever.

To drive that point home, they’re waving their delivery fees for those that enter the promo code “STAYSAFECS” at checkout.

Charges vary on distances and service fees, so you’re encouraged to plug in your favorite restaurant on their website and check out just how easy it is to get that pizza or sushi delivered directly to your doorstep, no masks, hand sanitizer, or social distancing needed.

In the end, what matters most is that Delivery Dudes is a local business keeping their neighbors safe.

“I have a great connection with the Parkland-Coral Springs area,” Rooks said. “That’s why I chose to give back to the community, and well as a coach at MSD. This community has been through a lot but always comes together and gets stronger.”
