Dennis DeYoung, a founding member of Styx will be performing in Coral Springs and fans are ‘Welcome to the Grand Illusion’.
Lead singer and writer on seven of the bands either Top Ten Hits will be performing at the Coral Springs Center of the Arts January 13 at 7:00 p.m. with his six-piece band showcasing hits like Lady, Babe, Come Sail Away, Too Much Time on my Hands, Best of Times, Mr. Roboto plus many others.
The former classic lineup of Styx, which included James “JY” Young on guitar/vocals and Tommy Shaw, guitar/vocals, disbanded in 1984 after Shaw left to form the Damn Yankees. In 2010, DeYoung formed a new band with guitarists August Zadra and Jimmy Leahey, bassist-vocalist Craig Carter, new drummer Michael Morales and keyboardist John Blasucci perform Styx songs that haven’t been played in DeYoung’s earlier solo shows.
