Your undoing is about to arrive. It comes chocolate covered, peanut-butter stuffed, and minty, proffered in front of the most irresistible smiles.
This season, eight delicious varieties of Girl Scout Cookies are being sold through the Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida. This includes Thin Mints, Tagalongs, Trefoils, Samoas, Lemon-ups, Do-Si-Dos, gluten-free Toffee-Tastic, and S’mores. One hundred percent of all funds raised through the Girl Scout Cookie sale stays here to support Girl Scouting in our local community.
How to Purchase
Due to Covid-19, the way girls sell and customers purchase Girl Scout Cookies is impacted. They’ll still be hosting cookie booths at Walmart, Publix, Duffy’s Sports Grill locations, Hooters, GNC locations, some Lowe’s stores, plus other businesses. But this year, Girl Scouts are also holding drive-thru cookie booths, putting up “lemonade stand” types of displays in their neighborhoods, using door hangers to offer contactless porch deliveries and other creative solutions.
Cookie-lovers can also purchase online through a girl’s Digital Cookie site. If you don’t know a Girl Scout, you can support all local Girl Scouts by visiting DigitalCookie.GirlScouts.org to purchase cookies online with an option for shipment to your door, delivery to a local address, or even have them donated to first responders, healthcare heroes, and local causes.
Cookies for the Military
For the 13th year in a row, the Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida is sponsoring their Cookies for the Military program. The program provides an opportunity to donate boxes or cases of Girl Scout cookies to servicewomen and men domestically or overseas.
Cookies for the Military is an excellent way for our community to support Girl Scouts while sending a “taste of home” to our troops. This year, the goal is to collect enough donations for 75,000 boxes of cookies. Because of the community’s generosity, the Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida has sent more than 578,000 boxes of cookies to our troops since 2009. For more information, visit cookiesforthemilitary.org.
Digital Cookie Purchases
For the past several years, Girl Scouts have been using technology to enhance their cookie sale experience through Digital Cookie. It allows customers to order their favorite varieties, pay with a credit card, and choose one of two delivery options – either have the cookies shipped to them or have their local Girl Scout deliver them.
Girls can create and share a QR code that links directly to their Digital Cookie site allowing for safe, easy cookie purchases.
Digital Cookie has enhanced girls’ ability to take their sales to the next level with both a mobile app and a girl’s personalized website, putting control of the sale, from customer contact to completing the order, squarely in her hands. With the ability to provide contactless cookie purchasing, girls still learn the entrepreneurship skills the Cookie Program is known for, and customers can feel good while safely supporting girls while purchasing their favorite Girl Scout Cookies.
