The Coral Springs Charter softball team had their first game back from spring break and defeated Pembroke Pines Charter 2-0 Monday night.
Brianna Godfrey continued her incredible season on the mound. The junior pitched a complete game and allowed only three hits, and struck out 14.
“Bri was dominant once again tonight,” said Head Coach Mark Montimurro. “She deserves a bit more run support, though. Hopefully, our offense will start clicking.”
Offensively, Bridget Dunham hit an RBI double in the first inning. Their lone other run came in the sixth inning on a bases-loaded walk from Sophia Bertorelli.
This was the team’s first game they have played since March 17, as they have now won 10 games this season.
Up next, the Panthers will be back in action on Tuesday, April 6, against West Boca Raton High School at 6:30 p.m. Following that, they will McArthur High School the following night at 6 p.m.
