Coral Springs Charter softball only had four hits but managed to win 1-0 for the team’s six straight win on Tuesday.
Bella Bertorelli drove in the lone run while Brianna Godfrey pitched a complete game shutout and scored the only run to push CSC to 8-2 this season. Godfrey also allowed only one hit and struck out 12 for her eighth win this year. The Marshall University signee currently has an ERA of .74.
Taylor Golden, Christina D’Agostino, and Godfrey recorded the team’s three other hits and handed South Plantation High School to their seventh straight loss.
“We prepared for the South Plantation pitchers velocity but other than Bella Bertorelli’s clutch hit, we really didn’t put our preparation into effect, said Head Coach Mark Montimurro.” We have to be better moving forward.”
Next, CSC will have one more game this week when they take on Palm Beach Gardens on Thursday, March 31, at 6:30 p.m. The Gators are currently 7-6 this season, but fell 13-2 to Park Vista High School in their last game on Tuesday.
