After a tough loss in their opening game, the J.P. Taravella High School football team played their second game for the first time on the home field.
On Thursday afternoon, the Trojans pushed the game’s start time to 4 p.m. since the field has no lighting. It was a great turnout from the community, with Athletic Director Kristin Zanleoni and her staff setting up the field.
The result was not much better than week one when the Trojans fell to Calvary Christian Academy 55-0 and outscored 99-0 through their first two games.
Fortunately, JPT still has eight games left in the regular season. The rest of their home games will be played at Coral Glades High School, where they play Nova High School on Thursday, September 8, at 7 p.m.
