More than 1,100 Girl Scouts turned Coral Square Mall into a high-energy K-pop celebration during the annual Mall Madness overnight event, an all-night experience filled with music, shopping, and interactive activities.
Hosted by Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida, the event brought together girls from across South Florida for an evening designed to promote friendship, teamwork, and confidence through shared experiences.
The night kicked off with a lively welcome from traditional Chinese Lion Dancers and Drummers from the Lee Koon Hung Kung Fu School. From there, scouts participated in a variety of activities that continued into the early morning hours.
Highlights included performances by the LYNX Dance Company and Florida International University’s K-pop dance team, as well as hands-on workshops where participants learned K-pop choreography. The event also featured karaoke and entertainment by Digital Vibez, a cosplay costume contest, and a range of themed crafts such as origami, folding fans, lucky charms and K-pop-inspired accessories.
Girls from Brownies through Ambassadors earned grade-level badges throughout the night. Brownies completed the Letterboxer badge, Juniors earned the Detective badge, and Cadettes explored manga while working toward the Comic Artist badge. Seniors examined the influence of Asian culture on American trends through the Science of Style badge, while Ambassadors focused on self-esteem and identity through the Cheers for Every Body badge.

Participants also enjoyed exclusive late-night shopping access at several popular mall retailers, including Build-A-Bear Workshop, Miniso, Bath & Body Works, and Hot Topic. Food vendors such as Häagen-Dazs, Churromania, and Gregory’s Coffee kept energy levels high with a variety of treats.
Sponsored by Amazon and Florida Power & Light, Mall Madness serves as one of the organization’s signature events, offering girls a unique opportunity to build friendships, explore new interests, and create lasting memories.
Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida serves more than 6,900 girls across Broward, Palm Beach, Martin, St. Lucie, Indian River and Okeechobee counties.
