Little League Team Receives Special Recognition by City

The North Springs Little League team received a special recognition at the Coral Springs City Commission meeting this week for winning the 2013 Southeast Regional Championships over the summer. Requested by Commissioner Dan Daley, this was the second year in a row that the North Springs Little League won the championship.

Led by Manager Matt Halprin, and Coaches Tony Stravino and Dan Cyr, the North Springs Team won the Tournament of State Champions in Greenville NC, beating Georgia 13-4.
Although they ended the season on top, their goal for next year is to make it to the 2014 Little League World Series in Williamsport, PA.
