Coral Springs continues to produce incredible soccer players, with three local girls competing for Pompano Beach High School.
The Golden Tornadoes recognized Leah Morton, Morgan Ellis, and Natalia Astaiza on Senior Night. They also featured Parkland residents Zoey Katz and Coconut Creek’s Isabella Tassanelli. Natalia Lopez of Oakland Park was also on the team this year.
Pompano Beach had a terrific season, going 14-2-2. Their only loss during the regular season was to Marjory Stoneman Douglas on November 13. They also have substantial success against Coral Springs teams, winning 2-1 against Coral Springs Charter and beating J.P. Taravella 4-1. The Golden Tornados played to a 1-1 draw against Coral Glades before advancing to the District Final before falling to Somerset Academy 5-2.
