U.S. News & World Report evaluated more than 24,000 public high schools in all 50 states and the District of Columbia. Nearly 18,000 high schools were ranked based on six factors: college readiness, state assessment proficiency, state assessment performance, college curriculum breadth, underserved student performance, and graduation rates.
“We are incredibly proud that our high schools are consistently recognized for being among the best in the nation,” BCPS Superintendent Dr. Howard Hepburn said in a prepared statement. “These rankings reflect the hard work of our students; the dedication of our teachers, administrators and staff; and the support from our families and the community. They also highlight the world-class education our students receive to prepare them for success in college and careers.”
