Magic, song and dance, fairies, lovers, and surprisingly serious insights into our secret emotional lives. That’s what audiences will find in A Rockin’ Midsummer Night’s Dream with music by Eric Svejcar and additional lyrics by Svejcar and Michael Unger.
The creators of this musical version of the Shakespeare play gifted it Marjory Stoneman Douglas Drama after they had only had it performed one other time in Newton, Connecticut.
The play features: Alex Wind as Oberon; Sawyer Garrity as Titania; Peri Harris as Puck; Alex Athanasiou as Lysander; Ethan Kaufman as Demetrius; Avery Anger as Hermia; Dylan Redshaw as Helena; Andrea Peña as Hippolyta; Tanzil Philip as Theseus; and David Prengler as Nick Bottom.
Tickets are available for A Rockin’ Midsummer Night’s Dream for Thursday, March 7, Friday, March 8, and Saturday, March 9, at 7 p.m. Only $8 for students and $13 for adults at the door online at douglashigh.seatyourself.biz
All Parkland and Coral Springs residents welcome to attend. Marjory Stoneman Douglas is located at 5901 Pine Island Rd, Parkland, FL 33076.
