Creativity and imagination will take center stage this summer as the Coral Springs Museum of Art prepares to host its annual Summer Art Camp, a full-day program for children ages 5 to 12, with registration now open.
Running from June 8 through July 31, the camp offers young artists the opportunity to explore new ideas, develop artistic skills, and build friendships through daily hands-on art experiences from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
This year’s program features a reimagined schedule that includes free beforecare from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m., as well as optional aftercare from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. for an additional fee. Families also have the flexibility to register campers on a weekly basis.
Camp activities rotate among classrooms and museum galleries, providing opportunities for outdoor play and movement.
“Summer camp at the Museum is about more than learning how to use art materials,” said Vita Litvak, the museum’s education and public programs coordinator. “Our camp is about giving children the space to explore who they are creatively. We’re thrilled to offer a program where kids can make art, have fun, and feel part of a creative community.”
Throughout the camp, participants create artwork using a variety of materials while learning new techniques in a supportive environment. Daily schedules balance focused studio time with snack breaks, games, and outdoor recess. Rotating weekly themes include “Art & Science Unite,” “Art Across the World,” and others designed to encourage creativity and exploration.
Parents are invited to attend a curated art show at the end of each week, where campers’ artwork is displayed and later taken home.
Full-week sessions cost $260 per child, with a discounted rate of $247 for museum members. Holiday weeks are offered at $208 per week, or $198 for members. Families who register before April 1 receive a 5% early registration discount.
Registration information and photos from previous camps are available at CoralSpringsMuseum.org/Learning.
