The Parkland Pokers 14U baseball team are having tryouts and they’re looking for Coral Springs and Parkland boys to join them.
The team is holding tryouts on Sunday, August 18, open to all baseball players in the surrounding area as well. To become eligible, boys must be born between May 1, 2005, and April 30, 2007.
Coach Trevor Connolly, varsity coach at Coral Springs Charter School has been coaching the Pokers team for several seasons. He is looking for serious ballplayers interested in dedicated practices and playing competitive games.
The Parkland Pokers consistently work on the fundamentals of baseball, always improving defense and batting skills, and good sportsmanship, mental toughness, and fun have been part of their winning formula.
Tryouts are from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Pine Trails Park in Parkland.
