Rising Starz performers return to NYC with the “Live the Dream” Broadway showcase performing at Times Square, the Minskoff Theatre, and Studio 54.
According to Director and Coral Springs resident Vanessa Valentin, the show is about hope, inspiration, transforming dreams into reality, and showcasing various musical styles and influences.
On Sunday, July 31, at 1:30 p.m. Rising Starz was invited to the famous Studio 54 theater.
Originally built as the Gallo Opera House in 1927, it was transformed into the New York Theatre in 1930. CBS purchased the space in 1942 and made it the home of television shows like “The Johnny Carson Show.”
In 1977, CBS sold the space to Steve Rubell and Ian Schrager, who transformed the space into the legendary nightclub of the disco-era, Studio 54. Today, Studio 54 is a permanent home for Roundabout Theatre Company.
Performers are Ava Aleman, Lily Bradford, Melody Buzzi, Alexandria D’Aleo, Vale Diaz, Emma Ferguson, Sophia Gomez, Sophia Hai, Sophia Kreimerman, Nandu Kuttiyil, Solomon Liria, Yori Marsh, Christopher Moody, Abigail Murillo, Chloe Oppenheimer, Gianna Pieiga, Julia Poms, Antonia Rincon, Daniel Smith, Mia Spector, Beatrice Taveras, and Vicente Tome.
Located in Davie, Rising Starz includes students who live and attend schools in Coral Springs and Parkland.
