Police Investigating Two Vehicle Crash in Coral Springs

A violent two car crash across the street from the Coral Square Mall has left one man in critical condition.

The crash happened around 11 p.m on Thursday evening. As of 2 a.m., Coral Springs traffic homicide detectives were still investigating the crash and West Atlantic Blvd was shut down in both directions between University and Riverside Drive.
The crash happened at 9000 West Atlantic which is the south east mall exit which intersection also doubles as the entrance to the Visconti Apartment complex. One vehicle, an Acura, remained an Atlantic turned facing westbound in the eastbound lane. The other car, a Honda, ended up several yards away up against the fence of the apartment complex.
As of press time, the man was in surgery with serious, life threatening injuries. The accident is still under investigation by Coral Springs Police.
