The Raider Robotics Team delivered an impressive performance Saturday at the Bots by the Beach competition hosted at Cardinal Gibbons High School, advancing to the quarterfinals in just their second competition of the season.
Facing a competitive field that included several of the state’s top-ranked high school and middle school robotics programs, the Raiders secured four hard-fought victories during qualifying rounds, earning a spot in the Top 10 and advancing deep into the elimination bracket.
The competition tested teams’ engineering skills, strategy, and on-the-spot problem-solving as robots battled through multiple rounds of challenges.
Team adviser and robotics club leader Susan Mejia praised the students for their determination and teamwork throughout the event, sharing their strong collaboration and sportsmanship against seasoned competitors.
