The Ramblewood Middle School music chorus and band programs performed well at recent music performance assessments.
The three choruses were recognized for singing well. The treble choir earned an excellent score on stage and a superior score for sight reading. The beginning choir, consisting of sixth graders, also earned an excellent rating on stage and a superior rating for sight reading. The mixed choir earned excellent ratings, according to choir director Lorrelle Jock.
“All the choir students worked very hard and put in hours of practice. I want them to stay involved in music,” said Jock.
The Ramblewood bands also did very well. According to band director Paul Gallinal, the symphonic band won a superior rating, and the honors band earned an overall excellent rating.
“I was very proud of the work the band students did. We all put in long hours of practice, and the students worked hard to improve. I believe the band will do even better next year,” he said.

To reward the musicians for their efforts, the Ramblewood music department took the student musicians to Disney World just before spring break. “We went to Disney World to have some fun; they deserved it,” said Gallinal.
