Music icon Shakira posed for a photo with Coral Springs Police officers on a recent visit to the city, according to a post on the department’s Instagram account.
“When @Shakira said “Whenever, Wherever” we didn’t realize it would be Coral Springs! Thank you for saying hi and taking a photo with some of our Officers!” reads the post, which shows the “Hips Don’t Lie” singer flanked by three uniformed officers.
The photo appeared to have been snapped on Saturday when Shakira was spotted at Cypress Park watching her son play soccer in the Weston Cup tournament. The city of Coral Springs posted a separate Instagram photo of the singer with city employee Fabio Cardona, lead worker at Cypress Park.
A multi-Grammy-winning and Latin Grammy Award-winning artist, Shakira has sold more than 85 million records worldwide and is the most viewed and streamed Latin female artist of all time on YouTube and Spotify, according to Grammy.com.
The Colombian singer has a home on Miami Beach and is frequently seen around South Florida.
“Her hips don’t lie, and she backs the Blue? Love her!” one commenter wrote on the police department’s Instagram post.
