As Spring Break approaches, parents and guardians who want to find an exciting way for their children to spend the holiday need look no further than Spitfire Farm’s Horse Camp.

Located in Coconut Creek, the equestrian facility, managed by Ejola and Paul Cook, offers a unique camp experience that promises to be both fun and educational.

Spitfire Farm, which has 36 horses across five lush acres, is ready to welcome children of all ages and skill levels. With a diverse equine population that includes rescue horses and advanced competitors, the farm provides an inclusive environment where every camper can find a horse to connect with.

The Cooks are committed to keeping the camp size manageable and ensuring personalized attention by grouping children according to their age and riding experience. The curriculum is designed to offer a comprehensive horseback riding experience, including horse care, arts and crafts, and nature walks.

Campers start their day with lessons on grooming and tacking up the horses, followed by riding sessions. Post-ride, they learn how to untack and bathe the horses. A packed lunch break leads into an afternoon filled with creative arts and crafts, including the unique opportunity to paint on a real horse and educational nature walks emphasizing the importance of horse care.

Spitfire Farm also offers campers the rare chance to explore Tradewinds Park on horseback. The camp also schedules a variety of activities, including water play days and guest speaker sessions on various aspects of horse care, ensuring that the fun never stops.

The camp runs from March 25 to March 29, with flexible enrollment options available for single days or the entire week at discounted rates. Prices are set at $100 for a standard day and $120 for an extended day, with further discounts for siblings. Slots are limited to 20 children per day to maintain the quality of the experience.

The camp offers standard and extended day options to accommodate different family schedules. To secure a spot, guardians must complete a registration form and submit a $50 non-refundable deposit per child.
