Jerry’s Here Farm Fresh Produce

The all-new Coral Springs Farmer’s Market will make its debut November 8, with a new name, management, and a brand new location.

Formerly called the Greenmarket, the Coral Springs Farmer’s Market is now under new management with Market Manager Colleen Sullivan. Sullivan formerly ran the Parkland Market and is committed to making this one a success by bringing in higher quality vendors.

“The vendors are really excited. I went to the Parkland Farmer’s Market today to pass out flyers and the local residents from Coral Spring are really excited and happy that it’s a newer and different market,” said Sullivan.

Visitors will notice a new venue as well. Instead of having it in a parking lot, it will be held at the ArtWalk – a redesigned pedestrian walkway that runs along the north side of NW 31 Court near The Walk.

Naughty Nutty Love

At the inaugural event on November 8, there will be children’s activities and live music. On November 22, Sullivan said Chef Vitor Lara will be doing a live cooking demonstration.

“He’s going to be utilizing items from the market to create dishes,” said Sullivan. “For instance, he’s going to be creating a green bean casserole and a no-bake cheesecake, and all of these items such as the ricotta and the jam, are from some of the vendors.”

Colleen Sullivan stresses that the new market will be food-based. Gone will be the makeup companies, garage sale-type items, and other non-food related businesses. Sullivan will be filling the market with high quality companies like she brought into the Parkland market when she managed it from 2006 – 2012.
