Top Former College Runner Coaches Distance Runners at Coral Glades High

Khiro Hoilett is a new distance running coach at Coral Glades High School.
He and Braxton Patterson left their coaching positions at Coral Springs High School to become assistant coaches at Coral Glades.
A gifted runner who competed in track and cross country while a student at Coral Springs, Hoilett still holds the school record for the fastest two-mile run. He also competed in track and cross-country at Valdosta State University.

Hoilett is enjoying working with head coach Frank Cunningham. “I am glad to be at Coral Glades, and I want to help the runners achieve their highest potential,” said Hoilett.
The Coral Glades track team has some talented and dedicated athletes. Avery Evans is a leading runner in the 200- and 400-meter events, and Fabio Castillo is a strong runner in the 800-meter and mile runs.

“It takes dedication and consistency to be a competitive distance runner,” said Castillo.
Gianna Gonzalez is a leading female runner for Coral Glades in the 800-meter and mile runs. She ranks fourth in the sophomore class with a 5.1 grade point average, plays on the lacrosse team, and competes in swimming.
Avellana Williams is a talented sprinter who competes in the 100- and 200-meter races and the 4×100 relay. She also plays on the flag football team. Juliana Mathieu is a leader in the 100- and 200-meter runs and played soccer.
