Arheanna Bryan is heading to nationals after a strong wrestling season.
A rising senior on the Taravella girls’ wrestling team, Bryan qualified to compete in the U.S. Marine Corps Junior Nationals in Fargo, North Dakota, from July 16-20 by winning the Florida Freestyle State Championship in Kissimmee in May.
“She will represent Team Florida in the largest and toughest wrestling tournament in the United States,” said her coach, Michael Bazos. “Currently, Arheanna is ranked number one in Florida for the upcoming 2026/27 season in the 190-pound weight class.”
Bazos said he is excited to see how Arheanna will perform against the nation’s toughest competition. He would like to see her place in the top eight in her weight class.
During this past year’s high school wrestling season, Bryan had a 31-1 record, with her only loss coming in the state championship.
