Volleyball season is officially underway for the boys with four teams from Coral Springs picking up their first win.
Coral Glades defeated Marjory Stoneman Douglas, winning 18-25, 25-13, 25-10, 25-27, and 15-9 after going 10-8 a season ago.
Their team consists of Jackson Brooks, Daniel Fyrberg, Ryan Cecil, Chase Fisher, Shey Kaplan, Cole Fisher, Dyllan Flores, Deion Hendric, Dominic Sorrentino, Timothy Miller, David Ngo, Delano James, Cooper Yellin, Isaias Morfe and Kianush Tehrani.

Coral Springs Charter defeated Pompano Beach High School 25-12, 16-25, 25-20, 25-23 for their first win this year after their 4-11 season last year.
Caua Pinto led the team with 11 kills while Murillo Boeta and Sergio Mejia Monnar had six kills each, while Mejia Monnar also had 12 digs. Aadhith Arancherry finished with 27 assists.
Other teammates include DJ Tarquinio, John Clarke Wong, Jordan Diaz, Chadson Quelch, Adian Pounds, TJ Mainardi, Ved Siewrattan, Aakarsh Arancherry, Jalen McGregor, James Camacho, and Tyler Harris.
The Panthers then beat Coconut Creek High School 25-22, 25-18, 25-21 in their next game and will play Coral Springs Charter on Friday, March 10 at 4:30 p.m.The Jaguars won the only meeting in five sets a season ago.
Coral Springs High School had its first win come against Deerfield Beach High School on Tuesday. The Colts won 25-22, 25-23, and 25-23 to move 1-0 for the sixth straight season.
Mark Saintelus led the team with six kills and five blocks while Joel Jobi and Julian Ehrenberg both had five kills, while John Decelesrino and Quinton Ehrenberg combined for 16 digs. After winning 15 matches a season ago, they will play Plantation High School on Friday, March 10 at 4:30 p.m.
J.P. Taravella picked up a come-from-behind five-set win with a 20-25, 24-26, 25-17, 25-19, 15-11 victory over Pine Crest and then went on to beat Marjory Stoneman Douglas 25-22, 25-27, 25-12, 25-17. The Trojans won the District Championship last year after going 8-5 a season ago and will face Cypress Bay High School on Wednesday, March 15 at 4:30 p.m.
