It was just fourteen years ago when the United States was confronted with one of it’s darkest days. People watched in horror as the twin towers at the World Trade Center collapsed after being hit by two planes. A plane deliberately crashed into the Pentagon, and another in a field in Pennsylvania. So many innocent people and first responder’s lives were taken by the evil actions of others, changing our lives forever.
Each year, the City of Coral Springs remembers the victims and honors the heroes of September 11, 2001. On Friday, September 11 at noon, the City will honor the victims by laying a wreath at the 9/11 Memorial at the Northwest Regional Library, followed by patriotic musical presentations in the Library’s Community Room presented by JP Taravella Band and the Coral Springs Firefighters Pipes and Drums. Everyone is invited to participate in this event.
The Northwest Regional Library is located at 3151 N. University Drive, just south of Sample Road.
