Through our joint effort with the Coral Springs Police Department to share updates to residents, this is a summary of crimes that occurred in Coral Springs from May 19 through May 25.
According to CSPD policy, open/active crimes are not released to the media.
Burglary Conveyance
A male, 35, was the victim of burglary conveyance-non-forced entry at the 9300 block of NW 44th Place on May 21. Nothing was taken.
Petit Theft/Retail Theft/Grand Theft
A retail theft/felony retail theft occurred at Home Depot at 750 North University Drive on May 18.
A retail theft/felony retail theft occurred at Sam’s Club at 950 North University Drive on May 20
A retail theft/felony retail theft occurred at CVS at 8151 Wiles Rd on May 15.
A male, 41, was a victim of grand theft at the 9600 block of NW 23rd Street on May 6 (Reported on May 22.)
A grand theft occurred at JC Penny at 9303 West Atlantic Blvd on May 22.
A retail theft/felony retail theft occurred at Macy’s at 9263 West Atlantic Blvd on May 24..
A retail theft/felony retail theft occurred at Macy’s at 9263 West Atlantic Blvd on May 25.
Assault
A female, 18, was the victim of a simple assault at the 2400 block of Coral Springs Drive on May 23.
Property Damage
Occurred at Burger King Restaurant at 10494 West Sample Road on May 23.
Occurred at 8799 Shadow Wood Blvd/Riverside Drive on May 20.
Battery
A female, 63, was the victim of domestic battery/touching another person against will at the 1700 block of NW 112th Terrace on May 21.
A male, 20, was a victim of domestic battery/touch another person against will at Buffalo Wild Wings at 5840 Wiles Road on May 25.
Domestic Disturbance
Occurred at the 11100 block of Heron Bay Blvd between May 20 and May 21.
Schools
A female, 43, was a victim of petit theft at Coral Springs Elementary School at 3601 NW 110th Ave between May 21 and May 23.
A grand theft occurred at Country Hills Elementary School at 10550 Westview Drive between September 1, 2018 and May 22, 2019. (Reported May 23.)
A female, 35, was a victim of battery/intentionally striking/touching another person against will at Coral Springs Elementary School at 4050 Woodside Drive on May 23.
Arrests
Jason Chavarro, 22, was arrested on charges of battery (intentionally causing bodily harm) at Game Night Arcade at 2125 University Drive on May 19.
Joshua Alvarez Walker, 18, was arrested on charges of battery (intentionally causing bodily harm) at 2750 Forest Hills Blvd on May 19.
Sharon J. Gayose, 63, was arrested on charges of obstructing an officer without violence at 7-Eleven at 5615 North University Drive on May 19.
Roshane O. Bryant, 25, was arrested on charges of petit theft at Macy’s at Coral Square Mall at 9263 West Atlantic Blvd on May 19.
Akayla Aleeyah Mcbean, 19, was arrested on charges of petit theft at Coral Square Mall at 9263 West Atlantic Blvd on May 19.
Michael Jonathon Rai, 28, was arrested on charges of battery (intentionally causing bodily harm) at 2850 Forest Hills Blvd on May 19.
Wendy Zamor, 27, was arrested on charges of trespassing on a property after warning at the 2800 block of NW 94th Ave on May 19.
Oscar Zuniga, 26, was arrested on charges of corruption by threat against a public servant at the 10100 block of Twin Lakes Drive on May 22.
Jacobo Alcahe, 31, was arrested on charges of petit theft at 2633 North University Drive on May 22.
Lonnie Haynes, 44, was arrested on charges of retail theft more than $300 at Costco at 4621 Coral Ridge Drive on May 22.
Tracy Daryl Coley, 23, was arrested on charges of battery/touch or strike/battery/domestic violence at the 3800 block of Turtle Run Blvd on May 23.
Carlos Alfredo Maldonado Cintron, 19, was arrested on charges of assault/domestic violence at the 2400 block of Coral Springs Drive on May 23.
Eric Gustavaus Gardner, 46, was arrested on charges of battery (intentionally causing bodily harm) at the 3500 block of NW 114th Lane on May 23.
Larry Donnell Wamley, 42, was arrested on charges of retail theft/felony retail theft at Walmart at 6001 Coral Ridge Drive on May 23.
Haysam Sayed Arafa, 42, was arrested on charges of retail theft/felony retail theft at Walmart at 6001 Coral Ridge Drive on May 24.
Dwayne Bouviea Simmons, 45, was arrested on charges of retail theft/felony retail theft at Walmart at 6001 Coral Ridge Drive on May 24.
Margarita Lafaith Pierre, 35, was arrested on charges of battery (intentionally causing bodily harm) at the 3500 block of Riverside Drive on May 24.
Antonio Demetrius Flowers, 44, was arrested on charges of carrying a concealed firearm at the 900 block of Harbor Inn Drive on May 25.
Stefhon Ray Wagers, 37, was arrested on charges of possession of cocaine at the 8500 block of West Sample Road on May 25.
